Afgelopen weekend nam ik deel aan het BMC met mijn LM chassis. Dit was een uitgelezen kans om de nieuwe voorbumper van QTEQ te proberen op mijn Porsche 962 LM.
Last weekend I participated to the BMC with my LM chassis. This was an excelent moment to test the new front bumper for my Porsche 962 LM.

De voorbumper wordt geleverd met bevestigingsschroeven. Zoals je kan zien is ze voorzien van een lip, die de body maximaal moet beschermen. De grondstof is kunststof.
The frontbumper is packed together with two fixation screws. The bumper is equipped with an edge, which provides maximum protection. It's build from plastics.

Montage op het chassis verloopt eenvoudig.

Het plaatsen van de body is even wennen, gezien het allemaal heel precies past. Dit is ook het geval met andere frontbumpers (ik testte reeds die van 3R).
The placement of the body needs some exercise, this is because everything fits precisely. This is also the case with other frontbumpers (I already tested one of 3R).

Zoals je kan zien ziet het er allemaal proper uit met een body gemonteerd. Natuurlijk valt ze in het geval van een zwarte body minder op, maar doordat zwart een neutrale kleur is valt het wellicht ook mee op body's met een andere kleur.
The installment looks clean once the body is installed, as you can see on the picture. In this case the bumper the front bumper matches the color of the body, but because black is a neutral colors it will be ok on other colored body's as well.

Na 3 kwalificaties van 8 minuten, en 2 finales van 20 minuten (in totaal dus 64 minuten rijplezier) ziet de body en de bumper er nog steeds even goed uit, hoewel het trekoog mankeert (zonder het gebruik van lijmen in de body). Dit is een uitstekend product van QTEQ en doet precies waarvoor het gemaakt is: de snuit van de mooie 962 beschermen.
After 3 qualifications of 8 minutes and 2 finales of 20 minutes (that means 64 minutes driving fun) the body and the bumper still look clean and undamaged, although the red part is missing on the body (the body was not reinforced with extra glue on the inside). This is an excellent product of QTEQ and does exactly what it is meant to do: protecting the beautiful 962.
